Getting To The Festival

As we anticipate a large turnout for the 2023 Japan Festival Houston, traffic in and around Hermann Park will undoubtedly be heavy and road closures are likely. Due to limited parking in the area, we have partnered with METRO to offer affordable alternative parking and transportation options.

METRORail: The Hermann Park/Rice U METRORail stop at Fannin and Sunset will put you right in the heart of the Park only a short walk from Japan Festival.

Ride METRO

Visit the METRO website to purchase a METRO Japan Festival Pass in advance and enjoy unlimited round-trips on METRO bus and rail for just $3 per day. Or secure tickets on your smart phone with METRO Q Mobile Ticketing.

Park METRO

The METRO Fannin South Transit Center, which is conveniently located on the METRORail Red Line, is only six (6) stops from Hermann Park.  The Transit Center will be open and available for parking at $3 per car per day.
